If you’re caring for someone and working long hours, chances are you’ve become very good at pushing through exhaustion.
Many carers tell themselves, “I’ll rest later.”
The problem is that “later” often never comes.
Rest isn’t a reward for finishing everything on your to-do list. It’s a necessity that helps you continue caring without completely draining yourself.

Today, I want to encourage you to look for small pockets of rest rather than waiting for a full day off.
Five minutes with a cup of tea.
Ten minutes sitting quietly in the garden.
A short walk around the block.
Three slow, deep breaths before moving to the next task.
These moments may seem insignificant, but they help your mind and body recover throughout the day.
Your challenge today:
Find one 10-minute window and use it purely for yourself.
No chores.
No phone calls.
No caregiving tasks.
Just rest.
You deserve it.
